Snap, snap! The Camera v2 is the new official camera board released by the Raspberry Pi Foundation!
The Raspberry Pi Camera Board v2 is a high quality 8 megapixel Sony IMX219 image sensor custom designed add-on board for Raspberry Pi, featuring a fixed focus lens. It's capable of 3280 x 2464 pixel static images, and also supports 1080p30, 720p60, and 640x480p90 video.
It attaches to the Pi by way of one of the small sockets on the board's upper surface and uses the dedicated CSi interface, designed especially for interfacing to cameras.
We also carry the original Camera Board which is 5 megapixels!
And we also have the new 8 megapixel version of the popular Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera Board!

The Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2 is the new and improved official camera board from the Raspberry Pi Foundation! Custom designed and manufactured by the Raspberry Pi Foundation in the UK, the Raspberry Pi Camera Board V2 features an ultra-high quality 8 megapixel Sony IMX219 image sensor (up from 5MP on the V1 camera board), and a fixed focus camera lens. The V2 camera module is capable of 3280 x 2464 pixel static images, and also supports 1080p30, 720p60 and 640x480p90 video.
The module attaches to Raspberry Pi by way of a 15 Pin Ribbon Cable, to the dedicated 15-pin MIPI Camera Serial Interface (CSI), which was designed especially for interfacing to cameras. The CSI bus is capable of extremely high data rates, and it exclusively carries pixel data to the BCM2835 processor. A 150mm CSI cable is included with every camera.
The board itself is tiny, at around 25mm x 23mm x 9mm, and weighs just over 3g, making it perfect for mobile or other applications where size and weight are important.

Note: The accompanying cable is NOT compatible with Raspberry Pi Zero models. You will need to purchase the Pi Zero Camera Cable separately for Pi Zero compatibility.

The Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 NoIR is the latest entry in the mainstream RPi camera line-up, and comes without an IR filter (thus the NoIR). Built around a 12-megapixel Sony IMX708 image sensor module, Camera Module 3 offers a few key enhancements over its predecessor. Improved low-light sensitivity makes for better photos and output in situations where there's not a lot of light. The module also features powered autofocus making it easier to get a sharp picture output. Finally the Camera Module 3 features High Dynamic Range (HDR) support expanding the range of color and contrast in the output.
This NoIR version features the standard lens (76° field of view). It also comes in a wide-angle lens variation which is available in the related products below.
