LM2575 1Amp Step-Down Voltage Regulator IC designed as a monolithic integrated circuit with a series of regulators that perform all functions for a step-down switching regulator. These devices are available in fixed output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, 12V,15V. This buck converter steps down the input voltage from 40V ~60V to any lower output voltage from 1.23V ~ 37V at a continuous current of 1 A depending on the input-output voltage settings. Since it is a buck convertor the output voltage will be always lower than the input voltage. LM2575 is an easy-to-use, nonsynchronous, step-down DC-DC converter with a wide input voltage range for the HV version. It is also capable of providing a high-efficiency replacement for popular three-terminal linear regulator. As a result, substantially reduce the size of heat sink. Else eliminate the need for the heat sink.
LM2575 step-down regulator modules operate at a switching frequency of 52 kHz. Thus allows small-sized filter components that require lower frequency. LM2575 1A step-down provides excellent line and load regulation. This module includes internal frequency compensation and a fixed-frequency oscillator. As a result, minimize external components and simplify power supply design.
It provides a ±4% tolerance on output voltage within specified input voltages and output load conditions, and ±10% on the oscillator frequency. Also External shutdown features a standby current of 50-μA (typical). The output switch includes cycle-by-cycle current limiting, as well as thermal shutdown for full protection under fault conditions
